Favour Boxes / Bomboniere

Giving favours or bomboniere at weddings and other special occasions is a long standing tradition that can be traced back to Italy in the early days of European history. Each favour box or favour bag traditionally contained 5 sugared almonds and symbolises health, wealth, happiness, long life, and fertility.

These days however, favours come in all shapes and sizes and can be filled with any keepsake you fancy. It is worth checking with your supplier the dimensions of the box you wish to order so that you can determine what content will fit inside. Better still, ask them for a sample.

Favour boxes are left at the table settings for your female guests but if you budget allows they can be left for all guests at your reception. They make a beautiful addition to your table decorations and can often be coordinated to match..
